He was raised in suburban Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Providence College in 2001. After college, he earned a masters degree in journalism from Emerson College.Ferrucci is currently the entertainment editor at the New Haven Register in New Haven, Connecticut, where he is the music critic and edits the paper's Weekend section. He writes a weekly column that appears each Friday titled "Clearing the Desk." He keeps a blog, Blog Like An Egyptian, on the paper's Web site. Before working in New Haven, Ferrucci was employed as an editor and music columnist at the Norwich Bulletin in Norwich, Connecticut, and freelanced for various music magazines. His articles and reviews frequently employ humor and exhibit frank opinions.
