Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Pattern 1913 Enfield (P'13) was an experimental rifle developed as a result of combat experience in the Second Boer War by the Royal Small Arms Factory for the British Army from 1912 to 1914 to serve as a replacement for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE). An advanced design chambered for a high velocity .276 rimless round which was more powerful than the service-issue .303 cartridge, putting the P'13 into service was rendered impractical by the outbreak of the First World War.
