Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Paul Guillaume (Paris, 1891 - Paris, 1934) was a French art dealer. Dealer of Chaim Soutine and Amedeo Modigliani, he was one of the first to organize African art exhibitions. He also bought and sell a lot of works from cutting edge artists of the time, such as Henri Matisse, Constantin Brancusi, Pablo Picasso, or Giorgio de Chirico.Being from modest origins, Paul Guillaume worked in a garage. He found African sculptures which he displayed. This aroused the attention of Guillaume Apollinaire, who in turn introfuced him to many of the artists of the beginning of the century in France.
