High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Pekinska patka was an eminent punk rock band from Novi Sad, Serbia, during the late 1970s and early 1980s in SFR Yugoslavia. Pekinska patka is considered a cult band of the Yugoslav Punk scene. Although highly inspired by the British punk rock, their sound was authentic and distinguishable. Being one of the first punk acts in the country, they also played a major role in opening doors for many bands that came after. Pekinska patka's roots are found in another band called Trafo. That short-lived group, formed in 1976, featuring Nebojsa ?onki? on vocals and Sreten Kova?evi? on guitar, performed cover versions of rock standards by the Rolling Stones and Santana. The following year Kova?evi? formed a pop band Cafe Express that featured ?onki? as guest vocalist.
