High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Poble Sec is a station of the Barcelona Metro network located in the neighbourhood of the same name, in the district of Sants-Montjuic, Barcelona. It's served by L3 (green line). It opened in 1975 under the name Parlamento along the other stations of the section Paral·lel-Sants Estacio, then known as "IIIB". The station adopted its current name in 1982. It's located right under Avinguda del Paral·lel between Carrer de Manso and Carrer del Parlament and can be accessed from Carrer de Manso and Carrer de Teodor Bonaplata. The platforms are 94 m. long each and are one next to another, albeit separated by a wall. It will also become part of L2 with the next extension of that line. The Barcelona Metro (Catalan and Spanish: Metro de Barcelona), part of the public transportation system of Barcelona, Spain is an extensive network of electrified railways that run underground in central Barcelona and above ground into the city's suburbs. Including the two lines which are currently under construction (L9 and L10), in 2014 the network will be made up of 11 lines with 209 stations, with a total route length of approx.200 km (124.27 mi).
