Traditionally the area belonged to the region of Styria and is now included in the Savinjska statistical region. The local church is dedicated to the Holy Spirit and belongs to the Sol?ava Parish. It is first mentioned in written documents dating to 1631. Sol?ava (German: Sulzbach) is a village and a municipality in northern Slovenia close to the Austrian border.
