High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Prairie Dawn is a fictional character, a rather mature seven-year-old Muppet girl on the beloved children's television program Sesame Street. She is similar in appearance to a character from the Anything Muppets. She is famous for writing school pageants (e.g., Sesame Street Little Theater) for her friends, mostly Ernie and Bert, Herry, Grover, and Cookie Monster. She also plays the piano during these pageants as well. She has appeared on Sesame Street since early in the show's history. Prairie is puppeteered and voiced by Fran Brill who also performs the more recently introduced character Zoe. On seasons 35 through 38 of Sesame Street, she helps Cookie Monster during his Letter of the Day segments, describing the letter of the day and trying to prevent Cookie Monster from eating it (he mistakes it for a cookie), however, almost always failing.
