The film is thus having four National Award winning artists, Mammootty, Priya mani, Renjith and Ouseppachan, who will be scoring the music for the film. There was buzzes long back that Renjith will be doing another experimental film after the moderate successes of Kerala Cafe and Mammootty-starrer Paleri Manikyam. The original decided casting included Mammootty, who has collaborated with Renjith in many of his parallel films and Priya mani, whose performance in Renjith's Thirakkatha was hugely appreciated. Mammootty will play the role of Chirammal Enashu Francis, a rice vendor in Thrissur. Hafis Firosh will be doing Mammootty's childhood.
