The Prasart Museum is a museum in Bangkok that exhibits antiques from all Thai periods. It is a private museum located at 9 Soi 4, Krungthep Kritha Road, in Bang Kapi District on the outskirts of Bangkok. It contains a substantial collection of artifacts from the prehistoric to modern Bangkok periods. It also contains many replicas of various pieces of prominent Thai architecture. Bang Kapi is one of the 50 districts (Khet) of Bangkok, Thailand. It is bounded by other Bangkok districts (from north clockwise): Bueng Kum, Saphan Sung, Prawet, Suan Luang, Huai Khwang, Wang Thonglang, and Lat Phrao. The area of Bang Kapi was once a jungle and has a history dating back to King Nangklao period when Chao Phraya Bodindecha led a troop to fight rebels in Champassack and Louangphabang and brought back people to settle here.
