A person desiring admission to any Indian university must pass this course. The course can be considered a bridge course to prepare students for university education. The admission to this course is based on marks obtained in SSLC or standard 10. Indian education system follows 10+2+3( 4 or 5) pattern, i.e.; number of years required for one to obtain a Bachelor`s Degree. This pre-university course (PUC) is also known as PDC (Pre Degree Course), + 2 or Intermediate course. The state of Karnataka conducts PUC board examinations in PUC II for university admissions.
