The Onset recorded Precious Love twice during their career. The first version was for their debut LP The Pool Of Life (Probe 19) and recorded at Ameritz Studios, Oxton, Wirral, UK, in 1988. The second version was recorded at The Pink Studios, Lark Lane, Liverpool, in 1989 during the demos for the What Say You EP. Nevertheless, this second version was not included on the EP, being replaced by the track "Sun and Moon". It remains unreleased to this day. A video for Precious Love was recorded by the Onset in 1989.
