High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Qmunity (also spelled QMUNITY), or the QMunity Queer Resource Center, formerly known as The Centre, is an LGBT community centre located on Bute Street in the Davie Village neighbourhood of the West End of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. As of 2010, it is led by executive director Jennifer Breakspear. The Canadian Queer Hall of Fame was created in 2009, with Qmunity as the "selected beneficiary" of the 2009 proceeds and "future home of the hall's memorabilia". Entertainer Robert Kaiser (also known as Joan-E) was the first inductee into the Hall of Fame, and he was followed by Olympic gold medalist Mark Tewksbury, Ted Northe, author and bookseller Janine Fuller and former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, who was inducted at an event organized by Qmunity and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Pride Network for his role in decriminalising homosexuality in Canada.
