Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The R30A was a New York City Subway car built by St. Louis Car Company for the New York City Transit Authority in 1960. They were a continuation of the R16 style. The cars were "Protestant" married pairs, which means that they were coupled together as pairs, and ran primarily on the BMT Eastern Division, although they would appear in the northern and southern divisions from time to time. The last R30A cars were retired from passenger service in 1993 with The Electric Railroaders Association sponsoring a Farewell to the R30 Fan Trip.
