High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rachid Koraichi (born 1947) is an Algerian artist. Koraichi was born into an ancient Sufi family, which has informed much of his work. He studied first at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Algeria before attending the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He works in many media, including ceramics, textiles, installation art, metallurgy, painting, and printmaking, and often collaborates with local artisans in his work. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale (2001) and MOMA (2006), and is also in the collection of the National Museum of African Art, Washington D.C.
