Rahi Chakraborty shot to fame in 2009 as a the 1st runners up in MTV India's desi rock band hunt "Kurkure Desi Beats presents Rock On with Mtv". Chakraborty is the singer, guitarist, lyricist and composer for the band Uniqx which was in the final three bands of "Band-e-Mataram 2007, a band hunt organized by Sangeet Bangla. He was born in Kolkata and did his schooling from South Point High School and his honours from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta. He is a sound engineer, lyricist and composer by profession. His lyrics deal with teen angst, spirituality and political issues.
