Rahim Bux Soomro was leader of the Soomro tribe and as the last surviving member of the 1946 Sindh assembly, the son of Allah Bux Soomro who was the first premier of Sindh after provincial autonomy was attained in 1935. His first cousin, Elahi Bux Soomro Ex-speaker National Assembly of Pakistan is a leader of Soomro tribe.
