The track "Rain" was originally intended to be included on the album On The Level, but at the time of the recording sessions Rick Parfitt had not completed the song and so it was held over to the band's next release. Blue for You is the ninth studio album by English Rock band Status Quo, released in March 1976. Parfitt's "Rain", the first single from the album, reached 7 in the UK charts after its release in February 1976. Its b-side was the non-album track "You Lost the Love", written by Rossi and Young.
