He is currently a professor of economics at Harvard University and was a former professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He received tenure at the age of 29, one of the youngest people to do so in the history of Harvard`s economics department. Chetty has published a number of papers in prestigious journals, including American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Journal of Political Economy.
