It was established in the year 1880 by Raja Shri Basudeb Sudhal Deb, the king of Bamanda estate. It had first started from a royal multistoried palace as RAJ KUMAR HIGH SCHOOL then shifted to its own premises and renamed as RAJA BASU DEV HIGH SCHOOL. It has continued its glorious journey from that point onwards, producing numerous gems.
