The Ralph Avenue Line is a surface transit line on Ralph Avenue in Brooklyn, New York City, United States. Once a streetcar line, it is now part of the B47 bus route, operated by the New York City Transit Authority. It is named after Ralph Kramden, the main character on the popular 50's TV show The Honeymooners, who drove a bus for a living. The New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) is a public authority in the U.S. state of New York that operates public transportation in New York City. Part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the busiest and largest transit system in North America, the NYCTA has a daily ridership of 7 million trips (over 2 billion annually).
