Being born in Hyderabad, India, on May 15, he was brought up and finished his education in Chennai. He is the nephew of Telugu producer Sravanti Ravi Kishore. He made in debut in 2006 with Devadasu. The film went on to become a big hit. His second film was Jagadam, directed by Sukumar. The film did not do well at box office but was critically acclaimed. His third release was Ready, produced by his uncle and directed by Srinu Vaitla . This film established Ram into the youth league of Telugu actors like Allu Arjun, Prabhas, and Jr. NTR. In 2009, he had two releases, Maska and Ganesh. While Maska was an above average grosser, Ganesh was a washout at the box office. In 2010, Ram had only one release, Rama Rama Krishna Krishna, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Srivas. The film went on to become average. Ram's next film is with A. Karunakaran. The film will release summer of 2011.
