Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Rana macroglossa is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It occurs in Guatemala and southern Mexico. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss. The true frogs, family Ranidae, have the widest distribution of any frog family. They are abundant throughout most of the world, occurring on all continents except Antarctica. The true frogs are present in North America, northern South America, Europe, Asia, Madagascar, Africa and from the East Indies to New Guinea; the species native to Australia - the Australian Wood Frog (Hylarana daemelii) - is restricted to the far north.
