Randle Ayrton (9 August 1869 – 28 May 1940) was a British actor, producer and director. Ayrton was educated at the King's School in Chester and Geneva University. In 1890 he made his stage debut at the Old Avenue Theatre in London and has been successful on stage in London and in America into the late 1930s. In 1913 he began his film career with the old London Film Company, going from silent to talkie films in a number of companies. He has produced and directed several films also. Chu-Chin-Chow is an exotic 1925 released adventure film that was actually produced and directed in 1923 in Germany by Herbert Wilcox with financial assistance from the German UFA company.
