Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Rangasami L. Kashyap (born March 28, 1938) is an Indian applied mathematician and a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He developed (with Harvard professor Yu-Chi Ho) the Ho-Kashyap rule, an important result in pattern recognition. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the International Association for Pattern Recognition, and the Indian Institute of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineers. Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. It now covers a range of subtopics including power, electronics, control systems, signal processing and telecommunications.
