Ranvir Singh (born in Preston, Lancashire) is an English news presenter and reporter for the regional BBC news programme, BBC North West Tonight. Singh attended Kirkham Grammar School in Kirkham, Lancashire. After finishing a degree in English and Philosophy at Lancaster University she then gained a postgraduate qualification in journalism at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. She joined BBC Radio Lancashire in 2002 initially on work experience and she was then given a six month contract She then moved to BBC GMR, covering the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
