High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rob Ickes is a dobro (resonator guitar) player and a founding member of the contemporary bluegrass band Blue Highway. In 2008, he was named Dobro Player of the Year for the tenth time by the International Bluegrass Music Association. He recently released his fifth solo album, a jazz project with pianist Michael Alvey and vocalist Robinella (ResoRevolution 2009). He has previously released four solo albums on Rounder Records, and also performs and records with a "jamgrass acoustic power trio", Three Ring Circle (Earwave Records), with Andy Leftwich and Dave Pomeroy.
