He currently managing at the Indonesian side, Arema Malang during the 2009-10 pre-season. He became the first manager who winning the Indonesian title on first season. Indonesia Super League (ISL) (Indonesian: Liga Super Indonesia) is the highest level of professional competition for football clubs in Indonesia. This competition is managed by PT Liga Indonesia, under supervision of the PSSI, the Indonesian football association. In 2009-10 edition, ISL consists of 18 professional football clubs. Djarum, a cigarette company, has been the main sponsor of this competition for two years.
