His credits include Addicted to Love (1997), Galaxy Quest (1999), Men in Black II (2002) and Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004). He also co-produced Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004). Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is a 2004 black comedy film directed by Brad Silberling based on the first three novels in A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket. The film stars Jim Carrey as Count Olaf, a mysterious theatre troupe actor who attempts to steal the inheritance of the three wealthy Baudelaire orphans played by Emily Browning, Liam Aiken, and Kara and Shelby Hoffman. The film is narrated by Jude Law as Lemony Snicket and features many celebrity guest stars including Timothy Spall, Billy Connolly, Meryl Streep and Catherine O'Hara.
