Gordy, 1931, Detroit, Michigan) was the youngest child of Berry Gordy, Sr. and Bertha Fuller, and is best known as the youngest brother of the Motown Records founder, Berry Gordy, Jr. He had a brief career as recording artist, having a minor hit in 1958 with the novelty song, "Everyone Was There", under the stage name Bob Kayli. After the death of his sister, Loucye, he became head of Jobete Music, Motown's publishing division. Gordy played the character "Hawk" in the film, Lady Sings the Blues.
