Robert Hostoffer is a pediatric immunologist and an osteopathic physician. He is considered an expert on primary immunodeficiencies especially in children. Hostoffer graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia in 1985. He finished residency at Doctor's Hospital in Columbus in 1989. He completed his fellowship training at the University of Alabama - Birmigham in 1991. Currently, he is a professor of pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University. The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) is one of the oldest and largest osteopathic medical schools. Founded in 1899, PCOM is home to over 1000 medical students as well as graduate-level students in several other fields of health care. One of the largest medical schools in the United States, PCOM is the largest civilian producer of US military physicians.
