Robert Hunt received a BFA degree in Art History from the University of California and an MFA degree in Illustration from the Academy of Art in San Francisco. As described by Walt Reed in the 2003 edition of The Illustrator in America, "His work reflects this classical training, but with a contemporary take." Publishing clients include Bantam Books, Dell Publishing, Dial Books, Doubleday, Harper Collins, Penguin Putnam, Pleasant Co., Random House, Reader's Digest, Simon and Schuster, Thomas Nelson, the Wall Street Journal, and many others. His work has appeared on the covers of books by many leading authors including John le Carre, Arthur C. Clarke, Stephen King and S.E. Hinton.
