High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Robert Linssen (b.11 April 1911 - d.15 May 2004) was a Belgian Zen Buddhist and author. Linssen wrote in French, but many of his texts have been translated into other languages including English. Like other Western authorities on the subject of Zen Buddhism (such as the author Alan Watts), Linssen's ideas about Buddhism in general and Zen Buddhism in particular have been influential both to practitioners of Zen and to academics. Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British philosopher, writer, and speaker, best known as an interpreter and popularizer of Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. He wrote more than 25 books and numerous articles on subjects such as personal identity, the true nature of reality, higher consciousness, meaning of life, concepts and images of God and the non-material pursuit of happiness.
