High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Robert Marien, born May 5, 1956, is a Quebecois (Canadian) actor, singer, and songwriter who has performed in the musical Les Miserables in Montreal, Paris, New York and London. He has also appeared in numerous films. French-speaking Quebecers (or francophone Quebecers; in French QuebecoisE francophones or just QuebecoisE) are francophone residents of the Canadian province of Quebec. Officially, this term refers to the part of Quebec's population whose mother tongue is French, however, since French is also the only official language of Quebec, the term, especially when used outside Quebec, colloquially alludes to French Canadians in general. The majority of francophone Quebecers are of French Canadian descent, but many immigrants also assimilate into the francophone majority in Quebec. Many French Canadians have Irish origin; Irish surnames are common.
