He played the role of Sergeant Ray Steele in the long running ITV drama The Bill. He has produced, directed, and performed in theatre productions. Perkins was born in Swansea in 1966. In 2002 he ventured to the “other side” when he wrote and produced a short film on 35mm. In 2006 he set up Carpe Momento Productions Ltd and produced and directed four critically acclaimed shows at Theatre Clwyd where he is an Associate Artist , Hampton Court Palace and Kensington Palace. He has worked extensively in television and film including 3 years playing a regular character on “The Bill” and playing alongside Kevin Costner in “The Upside of Anger”. He worked for the BBC training Directors for Single Camera Drama for the last 10 years. In 2005 he did the course himself as a Director. He has worked for Screen South as a Tutor on their “Make a film in a day” for children and special needs.
