Die Bahnstrecke Blaufelden–Langenburg war eine 12,0 km lange Nebenbahn von Blaufelden nach Langenburg am ostlichen Rand der Hohenloher Ebene in Baden-Wurttemberg. Als Stichbahn zweigte sie in Blaufelden von der Taubertalbahn ab. Die Strecke wurde am 22. Januar 1900 eroffnet und zum 31. Oktober 1996 stillgelegt, nachdem der Personenverkehr bereits am 26. Mai 1963 endete. Von Blaufelden als Ausgangspunkt fuhrte die Nebenbahn in einer engen Kurve weg von der Taubertalbahn und wandte sich nach Sudwesten, um unter Beruhrung von Wittenweiler und Oberweiler den nordlichen Stadtrand von Gerabronn zu erreichen. Von hier aus orientierte sich der Schienenweg vorbei am Schloss Ludwigsruhe weiter nach Westen, womit das Plateau der oberhalb der Jagst in einer Flussschleife gelegenen Stadt Langenburg erreicht wurde. Der Endbahnhof befand sich ca. 1 km vor dem Stadtzentrum.

Robert Pharand (born ca. 1956 in Hull, Quebec) was a francophone activist and candidate for the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party in 1971. At the time he was a 26 year old graduate student at the University of Ottawa and ran to represent the views of an Ottawa area Young Progressive Conservative clubs which French Canadian students had joined in hopes of drawing attention to the concerns of Franco-Ontarians. Pharand announced his candidacy on January 31, 1971, less than two weeks prior to the February 12th convention in which he received seven votes and was eliminated on the first ballot. The Tory campus clubs at the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and St. Patrick's College decided to field their own candidate because the other candidates had not been specific enough on the issues of economic nationalism and education.
