The former cathedral of "Our Lady of the Castle" was turned into a mosque during the Ottoman period and is now a museum. A Diocese is the district or see under the pastoral care of a bishop, it is divided into parishes. In some forms of Christianity, a diocese is an administrative territorial unit administered by a bishop.
