High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tuguegarao is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. Tuguegarao is a river delta city that became the seat of the Archdiocese in the Province of Cagayan, on the island of Luzon. Originally it was carved out from the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia which was then located at the old city of Nueva Segovia now Lal-lo, Cagayan transferred to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. The Diocese of Tuguegarao was erected on April 10, 1910 for the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya. On September 21, 1974 Pope Paul VI elevated the Diocese of Tuguegarao into an Archdiocese.
