The Roman Catholic Diocese of Emdibir (Latin: Emdeberen(sis)) is a diocese located in the town of Emdibir in the Ecclesiastical province of Addis Abeba in Ethiopia. Emdibir Diocese is a new Diocese established in late November 2003 and became the tenth Diocese of the Ethiopian Catholic Church in the country. The Eparchy is established as a result of long year's presence and service in the area. It is located in Southern West of Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, covering 2 Zones, namely: Guraghe Zone of the Southern Nations and Nationalities People's Regional state /SNNPRS/ and some part of South – Western Shoa Zone of Oromiya Regional State. It borders to the North West by Western Shoa Zone of Oromiya Regional State, to the south by Hadiya and Kembata Timbaro Zones of SNNPRS, to the East by Silte Zone of SNNPRS, and to the west by Gibe River.
