The Roman Catholic Diocese of Le Puy-en-Velay (ancient Aniciensis), is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic church in France. The diocese comprises the whole department of Haute-Loire, in the Region of Auvergne. Currently the diocese is a suffragan of the diocese of Bourges. The present bishop is Henri-Marie-Raoul Brincard, appointed in 1988. The territory of the old Diocese of Le Puy, suppressed by the Concordat of 1801, was united with the Diocese of Saint-Flour and became a diocese again in 1823.
