Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Diocese of Ponta Grossa is a territorial division of the Catholic Church in the state of Parana, Brazil. It was created in 1926 by Papal bull Quum in Dies Numerus of Pope Pius XI, with bula Quum in numerus. It is a suffragan diocese of Archdiocese of Curitiba. The fifth and current Diocesan Bishop is Bishop Sergio Arthur Braschi. It is the richest Diocese of Parana, behind the 4 archdioceses. A Papal bull is a particular type of letters patent or charter issued by a pope. It is named after the bulla that was appended to the end in order to authenticate it. Papal bulls were originally issued by the pope for many kinds of communication of a public nature, but after the fifteenth century, only for the most formal or solemn of occasions.
