The Roman Catholic Diocese of Trujillo (erected 3 July 1987) is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa (erected 1561, as the Diocese of Comayagua) is a metropolitan see in Honduras. It was elevated as the Archdiocese of Tegucigalpa on 2 February 1916.
