Currently the diocese remains a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Paris. The current bishop is Michel Marie Jacques Dubost, appointed in April 2000. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Versailles, is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church, in France. The diocese, headed by the bishop of Versailles, was established in 1801. Until then, its territory had been part of the archdiocese of Paris. It was centred on Versailles.
