The project was started and finished in the 1990s and it was made up by the construction of a rockfill with a clay core dam 125 m high which was equipped with two vertical turbines, the hydropower plant having an installed capacity of 153 MW. The power plant generates 130 GWh of electricity per year. The Sebe? River ( Hungarian: Sebes, German: Muhlbach ) is a tributary of the Mure? River in Transylvania, Romania. The upper reach of the river (upstream of Lake Oa?a) is also known as Frumoasa River. The Romanian and Hungarian name Sebe? and Sebes originate from the Hungarian adjective sebes meaning "speedy", while the German name means Mill Creek.
