High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Sadistic Exploits was an American hardcore punk band which existed from 1980 through 1985. They released a 45 titled Apathy b/w Freedom in 1980. Inspired by UK anarchists Crass, the Philadelphia based band formed in late 1980 during the formative years of Philly's hardcore punk scene. The Exploits organized Philadelphia's first all-ages punk rock shows ("PunkFests") at the Elks Center in South Philadelphia. Founding members Bryan Lathrop, vocals, Peddrick (Pudrick), guitar, and Robbie, bass, were initially joined by drummer Miguel Gonzalez and hailed for incendiary live shows by local fanzines and WXPN radio jock Lee Paris. Gonzalez was succeeded by several subsequent drummers. Bassist Robbie was also followed by two subsequent players.
