High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! S A H Rizvi (1949-2005) was an Indian mathematician, specializing in medieval mathematics and astronomy. He was born in Varanasi and died in Hyderabad on December 18, 2005. He studied at Lucknow University. Later, inspired by W. H. Abdi, he showed keen interest in the field of mathematics, philosophy, and astronomy. It was under Professor Abdi's guidance that he received his doctorate in history of science from Cochin University of science and technology. He worked on the development of mathematics idea's and physical concepts in India during medieval period mainly using primary sources in Persian and Arabic and correlating them with Sanskrit works.
