Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Scapular of the Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic devotional scapular associated with the Confraternity of The Holy Trinity and the Secular Third Order of the Most Holy Trinity. Pope Innocent III approved the Order of the Trinitarians (Order of the Holy Trinity and Captives) in 1198 with its Rule. It was founded by St. John de Matha after his vision of Christ with two captives around 1193. The indulgences of the confraternity were approved by the Congregation of Indulgences in 1899 (but have been revised with the new Trinitarian Way in 2000) It is a white scapular with a blue and red cross (+) and is worn by members of the Confraternity of the Blessed Trinity (or other Trinitarian association that makes use of the scapular) after being invested with this scapular. It is a sign of consecration to the Holy Trinity and of fraternity.
