Michael Shawn Crahan (born September 24, 1969), also known as Clown, Kong, or by his number #6, is an American musician known as one of the two custom percussionists of the Grammy winning metal band Slipknot, and the drummer of To My Surprise and Dirty Little Rabbits. At 40, Shawn Crahan is the oldest member of Slipknot, the youngest member is turntablist, Sid Wilson). M. Shawn Crahan, to his nickname, wears clown-style masks. Crahan's recent mask for All Hope is Gone was black with the same clown-like nose, and had a zipper in the mouth, which was not present in previous masks. During the All Hope Is Gone tour he changed this mask to a face mask which was transparent with a happy expression on it. He has since colored it black. However, a red clown nose is still present. This new mask is named "Mrs. Clown," as it has female facial features.
