High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! ?ask County (Polish: powiat ?aski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in ?od? Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and only town is ?ask, which lies 32 kilometres (20 mi) south-west of the regional capital ?od?. The county covers an area of 617.38 square kilometres (238.4 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 50,874, out of which the population of ?ask is 18,684 and the rural population is 32,190.
