The Society for Promotion of Alternative Computing and Employment ("SPACE") is an initiative of a community of software professionals and technologists aspiring to build a novel IT industry that is creative and socially relevant. SPACE envisages to bring the benefits of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to a larger section of society by promoting employment and development through FOSS. It aims to address the special needs of Kerala such as local language computing and will act as a link between Kerala and the FOSS Community around the world.
