High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests is a private, non-profit land-conservation organization based in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. It purchases or is given easements or outright ownership of undeveloped land, as a way to keep it open, and also performs advocacy and education services. It was established in 1901. In addition to holding easements, the "Forest Society" acts as a resource for landowners and other, smaller conservation land trusts. Forest Society staffers avail themselves to answer questions, make presentations and host seminars for the public and other local land trusts. One of their larger events is their annual Saving Special Places workshop, which is the largest event of its kind in the state of New Hampshire.
